Now, 7-Eleven officially rolling out Apple Pay support to stores across the United States. 7-Eleven touts who add support for Apple Pay, adds a new “easy, safe and private way” to complete payments for consumers. The chain says that support of Apple Pay will be available on “Most American Stores in September“.
Support for each service is expected at most U.S. stores throughout September and adds to the company’s portfolio of mobile payment options that includes Samsung Pay.
“Frictionless experiences are the future, and digital payments are key to such experiences. Consumers prefer shopping at retailers that offer digital payment capabilities,” said Gurmeet Singh CDO and CIO of 7-Eleven. “The ability to pay with their smart device gives consumers one more reason to shop at 7-Eleven.”
Apple Pay is continuing to roll out to additional retailers and banks in the U.S. and elsewhere around the world. Tim Cook touted back in July that CVS, after being a vocal opponent to the service, will also add Apple Pay support at its stores this year.
