Huawei Technologies, the world’s third-largest smartphone maker, is planning to roll out the first foldable screen phone. According to analysts and knowledgeable sources, Huawei plans to outstrip Samsung in the release of a folding smartphone.
It will be a premium device with a flexible screen on organic light-emitting diodes. we know that Samsung is preparing to launch its foldable Galaxy smartphone in early 2019, probably even before MWC 2019 so if Huawei wants to have the bragging rights of being first, we are looking at a late 2018 launch. Samsung — the world’s No. 1 smartphone maker — is also preparing to launch its own foldable smartphone to mark the 10th anniversary of its Galaxy models in the first half of 2019, according to media reports and industry sources.
Huawei already has a patent, which presents an example of a folding smartphone. In the unfolded state, it looks like a normal device without frames and folds like a wallet – perhaps, we will see it at the presentation.
