iPhone 9 rumours are already swirling about the tech giant’s next smartphone. Apple begins development of its smartphones well in advance of releasing them, meaning early rumors can often paint an accurate picture of the final product.
If the current batch of rumors is true, the iPhone 9 could adopt some high-tech features that are currently only available on the £999 iPhone X, along with as a new display to rival the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus.
The iPhone 9’s camera is not expected to be significantly different to the iPhone X’s current dual-lens system. However, the smartphone may adopt the same dual-aperture system as its rival, the Samsung Galaxy S9. This would make it more capable of shooting “excellent quality pictures in all sorts of lighting conditions”
Rumors about the Apple Pencil being adapted to work on iPhones have been circulating since the stylus was introduced in 2015, the tech site says. The Pencil was recently made available for Apple’s latest batch of iPads.
Apple often launches its smartphones at the same time every year, so the iPhone 9 may appear as early as September or October 2018.
