A few weeks ago Nokia has been rolled out Android 9 Pie for Nokia 7 Plus device. Now, alongside the reveal of a new smartphone, Nokia is confirming Pie updates for a few more of its devices.
Nokia today confirmed at the London launch event that Android 9 Pie is going to some more phones starting from this month. First of all, there are devices running Snapdragon 600-series chipset in it. That is, it’s Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus. Both devices will be Pie in the month of October.
On the other hand, Nokia’s is also updating the Nokia 8 and the Nokia 8 Sirocco to Pie starting in November. There’s no clear timeline, but the update will apparently arrive before the month is out.
It’s great to see Nokia because the brand has gone on Android One in recent years. Getting quick updates for Android 9 pie is something we are happy to see, even if there is some delay in resolving things. Nokia also said that there is a plan to launch the Android 9 Pie Upgrade for the rest of the portfolio immediately after these early devices.
