OnePlus 3 and 3T receiving July security patch with OxygenOS 5.0.4

Finally, OnePlus 3 and 3T users are receiving a new software update. The latest update brings Android July 2018 security patch alongside OxygenOS 5.0.4 or few other improvements. Google recently published July 2018 security updates. 





OnePlus starting to push the incremental roll-out of OxygenOS 5.0.4 for the OnePlus 3 & 3T. Check out the full changelog below.

System

  • Updated Android security patch to 2018.7

Camera

  • Improved image quality for the front camera
  • Fixed manual ISO setting issue of 3rd party camera apps

Third-Party Apps

  • Fixed parallel WhatsApp crash issue
  • Fixed front camera zoom-in issues for Snapchat

OnePlus 6’s video editing tools in the gallery app now available on OnePlus 5T/5/3T/3

Camera quality is still being improved for the device and compatibility issues are being worked on. This update also fixes the WhatsApp crash issue for parallel apps, which will certainly be helpful for dual-SIM users running separate WhatsApp accounts.

This OTA will have a staggered rollout, the OTA will be received by a limited number of users today and will have a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs, so using VPN to download this build might not work as the rollout Is not based on regions and is randomly pushed out to a limited number of devices.
