OnePlus 5/5T receiving OxygenOS 5.1.5 update with enables Treble support

OnePlus 5 and 5T users are getting a new software update. This new update comes with OxygenOS 5.1.5 or a new security patch and device improvements.

The latest software update brings OxygenOS 5.1.5 alongside August 2018 security patch and the update does bring the promised Project Treble support. Aside from that, there are a few other improvements included in the update such as the option to confirm PIN without tapping √ to unlock the phone (Settings / Security & lock screen / Screen lock / PIN).

The size of the update is 1613Mb. Make sure you have enough storage for this update. This OTA will have a staged rollout, the OTA will be received by a limited number of users today and will have a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs, so using VPN to download this build might not work as the rollout is not based on regions and is randomly pushed out to a limited number of devices.

Here is the Changelog…

  • Confirm PIN without tapping √ to unlock the phone (Settings -> Security & lock screen -> Screen lock -> PIN)
